Shame Has a Tenor Of Desperation

By Guest Published: July, 2024

Voice of Shame

The voice of shame says, “I want you more than you want me.” Shame has a tendency to act too late, to hold on past the peak until people are repelled, affirming its fundamental belief.

These various aspects of the tumescent mind want above all to be right. They will act consistently in a way to prove this belief and create the rejecting patterns they are looking for in others.

Pressure of Shame

Shame works by employing the idea that we are too much or not enough, and then applies it internally with heavy pressure until it leaks out and others can sense it.

The actions of a person in shame have a tone of desperation. Desperation can be an unconscious technique aimed specifically to keep others at bay, because desperation creates repulsion.

Shame is a chronic, constant outreach that pleads “Do you like me?”

Self-Acceptance

The solution is to turn back to ourselves and ask, “Do I like myself?”
